1lb. density foam core provides an R-15 level of insulation when on the spa, while still being lightweight and removable with ease. Foam upgrades to 1.5lb. density at an R-20 insulation level available for $49 extra. 2.0lb. density upgrade at an R-20 insulation level is $69 extra. BUT......realize that foam density over 1lb. will make the cover MUCH heavier and MUCH more difficult to take off and put on the spa. In most spa installations, you DO NOT NEED foam with a density in excess of 1lb., but we do offer it if you would like.

How To Measure For Your Spa Cover - Part 1

It is best if you measure your existing COVER and not your spa. Measure across the seam, then perpendicular to that, in order to get the proper length and width. Also measure any cut off corners or odd shaped sides of the cover. It is always best if you can scan and email us a drawing of the cover, with all dimensions noted. This will avoid any confusion.

Cover Skirt

if you do not have a cover to measure from, then you must measure all the OUTSIDE dimensions of the spa.

Remember, the cover has a 2" flap around the edges called a SKIRT. This must easily sit over the edges of your spa, with a little room to spare.

Remember, when measuring, it is always better to make the cover size a little bit BIGGER than your spa. This will not cause a problem. If you make a mistake, and measure too SMALL, the cover will not fit properly, will not sit flat and will not hold the heat in.

Also remember that all Prestige Covers come with Tie Downs and locks that can either be attached to the wood spa cabinet or be screwed to a deck.

How To Measure For Your Spa Cover - Part 2
Shapes and Radius Corners

Spas come in a variety of "standard" shapes. Determining your unit's shape will help you order the proper cover.

Square = L x W
Rectangle = L x W
Square with cut corners = L x W x Cut Corner Dimension
Rectangle with cut corners = L x W x Cut Corner Dimension
Square with rounded corners = L x W x Radius Dimension (See Radius below)
Rectangle with rounded corners = L x W x Radius Dimension (See Radius below)
Square with one cut corner = L x W x Cut Corner Dimension - must note which corner is cut and orientation of fold - must supply drawing to us !

Radius Corners

The term "radius corners" scares a lot of people. It brings back bad memories of high school math class!

Many spa covers have rounded corners. In order for us to make you a cover, we must know how rounded they are. This is determined by figuring out their radius dimension.

The diameter of a circle is the measurement across the center. The radius of a circle is half of its diameter. Very simple.

Method # 1 for determining radius:
To determine the radius of your cover's corners, take a sheet a paper and trace around one of the curved corners of the cover. You will get a curved line similar to those shown at the left. Remove the paper and complete the circle. You can do this freehand, and it doesn't have to look too pretty! Just try to get it pretty close. Then measure across the middle of the circle you drew, and divide by 2. That is the radius of you cover's corners. We have a template that you can download here to help you out. It measures 7.5 by 10 inches exactly. Use a ruler against the ruler shown to be sure you've printed it the right size.

Method # 2 for determining radius:
Another way to measure the radius is by placing a carpenter's square on the outside corner of you spa. The distance between the corner of the carpenter's square and the place where it touches the spa (A) equals the radius of the curve (B).

Method # 3 for determining radius:
If you still cannot figure it out, or are unsure, please email us a tracing (drawing) of your radius corner (). That way there can be no confusion.

Remember, if you are a little too big, the cover will still fit (and work) fine. However if you are even the slightest bit too small, the cover will not sit properly on the spa. If you have to guess one way or the other, go bigger.

5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, herby limiting to the scope and duration as foloows:

FIVE (5) YEAR WARRANTY ON INSULATION AGAINST WATER SATURATION

One (1) year warranty on all spa covers manufactured by PRESTIGE SPA COVERS with regard to the quality of materials and workmanship.

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of a PRESTIGE spa cover, should a defect as outlined in this warranty become apparent during the warranty period, as follows:

1. Purchaser is responsible for the return of the spa cover to PRESTIGE SPA COVERS at their plant location of 13000 Automobile Boulevard in Clearwater, Florida and to provide original sales invoice for said spa cover. Spa cover must have been paid in full.

2. PRESTIGE SPA COVERS will, upon inspection and determination of the validity of the claim, either repair or replace the spa cover based on the following pro-rata basis: a) Within the first 365 days from the date of purchase: No charge. b) Day 366 thought the next 48 months: 1/60th of the current retail price of a PRESTIGE SPA COVERS per each month since original retail purchase.

3. The repaired or the replacement cover will be delivered to the purchaser within ninety (90) days from receipt of defective spa cover. Said shipment to Dealer will be at Purchaser's expense.

4. Warranty does not cover improper use or any of the following: 1) excessive chlorination of water or splashing of chemicals on spa cover; 2) chaffing or wearing holes in spa cover by dragging cover rough surfaces or storing against sharp objects; 3) broken form caused by sitting, lying or walking on spa cover, or by placing objects on cover's surface; 4) torn handles caused by improper use -- handles are to be used as a means to open cover and to fasten cover down to spa only -- not for use in carrying spa cover.

5. Repairs or alterations made to spa cover by anyone other than personnel authorized by PRESTIGE SPA COVERS herby invalidates this warranty or any other warranty whether expressed or implied.
